چکیده

In this article we describe an independent domain model to manage the conversation strategies between users and computers. We apply the model in COBBER, a Conversational Case-Based Reasoning (CCBR) framework based on reusable ontologies. The overall goal of the model is to support users following an affective approach in order to keep them in the adequate mood to interact with the computer. We describe the main tasks of the framework and the methodology to instantiate the conversation strategies for a specific domain. We design the dynamic behavior of conversation strategies with causal loops from System Dynamics theory. We adapt this theoretical framework to work with the CCBR approach.

Supporting Conversation Variability in COBBER Using Causal Loops

Conversational Case Based Reasoning (CCBR) is a form of CBR where users initiate conversations with the system to solve a certain problem. Current CCBR solutions are limited to specific domains. In the solutions we find a lack of flexibility to deal with the user’s variability: different conversation strategies depending on the user’s current mood, computer skills, and domain expertise. We focu...

Dialog Learning in Conversational CBR

Conversational Case-Based Reasoning (CCBR) provides a mixed-initiative dialog for guiding users to refine their problem descriptions incrementally through a question-answering sequence. In this paper, we argue that the successful dialogs in CCBR can be captured and learned in order to improve the efficiency of CCBR from the perspective of shortening the dialog length. A framework for dialog lea...

CCBR Ontology for Reusable Service Templates1

We present the motivation and design of CCBROnto, an OWL Ontology for Conversational Case-Base Reasoning (CCBR). We use this ontology to define cases that can eventually be stored, retrieved and reused by a mixed-initiative approach based on CCBR. We apply this technique for retrieving Web Service Composition templates.
